Rookie Run-Thru

Rookie Run-Thru is a 3D animated short film produced at the Savannah College of Art and Design, telling a simple yet heartfelt story of finding your true “Esprit de corps”: to achieve something greater than ever thought possible. The film follows the story of Claire: a new conductor who must learn to battle her inner thoughts and fears while leading a marching band for the very first time.

As Claire steps up to conduct on the podium, she gets stuck in her head, literally, and has to navigate her fears personified as giant instruments. They toss her around, bully her, and even laugh at her. But in a moment of clarity, she realizes the potential she has to be a great leader and controls her fears using her conducting skills. Claire finally climbs the podium; transforming into an amazing conductor to her bandmates!
